Jurassic Kitchens and Living Spaces is an independent company based in Budleigh Salterton, Devon. We specialise in the design, supply and installation of German and British designer kitchens.

We are renowned for delivering design led solutions in both contemporary and traditional designs in the South West of England. We believe that the quality and finish of our kitchens speak alone, combined with our unique customer experience, enabling you to acquire your dream space.
In 2018, Jon established Jurassic Kitchens & Living Spaces in Budleigh Salterton. He has founded a personal and respected reputation through his determination to deliver exceptional design projects, from start to finish. Since establishing the company, Jon has always ensured that the products displayed in the showroom mean that new and existing clients can have access to a more up-to-date, personalised and memorable experience.

Director / Owner
With over 30 years of working in the construction industry, Jon’s role remains aligned to his specialisms in project management, surveyance and consultancy; as well as being very much involved in every aspect of the kitchen design service and the day-to-day running of the business. Since establishing the company, Jon has always ensured that the products displayed in the showroom mean that new and existing clients can have access to a more up-to-date, personalised and memorable experience.

With a wealth of industry knowledge and over 30 years’ of kitchen design experience, Sam is a true asset to our team. Sam loves to get to know her clients and to really understand their individual needs, by helping them create their dream kitchen or living space.

Design Director
Ella graduated with an Interior Design degree in 2019 and has gained valuable knowledge from her experience being in the interior design industry for 8 years. Ella’s professionalism and attention to detail endears her to all of our clients, who are assured by her evident expertise and friendly nature.

Marketing & PR Manager
Chloe graduated from the University of Gloucestershire with a First Class Honours degree in Business Management and manages all of our PR and marketing. Chloe has previously worked in various areas of marketing including social media, content creation, paid advertising and event management.

Kitchen Fitter
A qualified joiner by trade, Mark has over 35 years’ experience in kitchen installation and joinery. He has been Poggenpohl trained, providing him with the ability to offer the most professional finish possible. Mark is happy to lend a hand to anything, with knowledge in almost every domestic project.
Lloyd
Kitchen Fitter
After a slight career change, Lloyd joined the team as a trainee kitchen fitter. Lloyd has been working alongside Mark for over 6 years, following technical plans to install a variety of traditional and contemporary kitchen spaces.
Phil
Electrician & Plumber
Specialising in plumbing and electrical engineering, Phil started his career at the age of 16 and has been working independently for the past 20 years. Phil will always go above and beyond with any project and is recognised for providing a professional service that is to the highest quality.

Electrician
Chris qualified as an Electrician after completing his Level 3 Apprenticeship in electrical engineering, working alongside Phil as a trainee. Chris demonstrates great understanding for electrical installation as well as the maintenance and repair of electrical systems.

Yes, we do and there is a process we will go through.
Firstly, we would welcome you into our showroom to look at the products we are able to provide. From this meeting, we are able to establish your realistic budget and design accordingly. Secondly, we will accurately measure your space and produce a first draft of your design. Thirdly, we will ask you to come back into our showroom where we will go through our design with you thoroughly, showing you the plans elevations and 3D visuals on our screens. At this stage, we will do any minor tweaks to the design that maybe required free of charge.
If you would like a printed or emailed copy of all of the design work, we have done then we would ask for a small deposit of £250 as a form of commitment from you which is refundable against your final purchase. For this deposit, you will get the unit breakdown and all of the drawings we have produced.
We offer a fully managed installation solution for your project, giving you peace of mind. Our teams are all local tradesmen who have been well trained and established in their field of expertise for over 25 years.
Although we are happy to project manage projects where the customer has their own teams doing the work, we would highly recommend that the customer uses our team as they are used to fitting our products on a daily basis and understand the high standards we require on every project.
For our kitchen appliances, we specialise in Neff and our own brand Progress (by AEG) and for sinks and taps, we specialise in Blanco and Abode and have all these working in our Budleigh Salterton showroom. We are able to acquire other brands like Siemens, Bosch, Liebherr, Samsung, Franke, Kohler, Quooker and Zip on request but these are not on display.
We have forged relationships with suppliers who are able to offer us extremely good deals on their products. If you are after a £5,000 kitchen including appliances and worktop, we are not the company for you. Our kitchens start from £10,000 and with the range of products available to us we can also cater for higher end budgets.
Yes, we do! We have spent a long time selecting the best kitchen manufacturers who can offer quality made products at affordable prices. We always offer the best price on our full kitchens to our customers, so there is no need to have an awkward negotiation
We cover the whole of the South West of England. Our showroom is located in Budleigh Salterton in the heart of East Devon. We have also undertaken specific design led projects in Gloucester, London and Bournemouth areas.
This is totally dependent on the scale of the project. On average, we aim to complete a standard sized kitchen with laminate worktops within 2 weeks. Whereas, a standard sized kitchen with granite or quartz worktops and glass splash backs, we aim to complete within 3 to 4 weeks.
Our British kitchen cabinets are made from 18mm MFC (melamine faced chipboard) edged in an ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene). The backs of all the units are also made from 18mm MFC giving the unit a solid feel. The doors vary depending on the style, finish and budget required. Drawer runners and hinges are from Blum with Kessebohmer wirework and pullouts.
Our German cabinets are made from a 16mm high density MFC with ABS edging with the backs being 4mm lacquered board screwed in place to allow removal and cutting for services. The doors also vary depending on the style, finish and budget. Drawer runners and hinges are from Hettich with Kessebohmer wirework and pullouts.
For our Quartz, Silestone, Granite and Timber, we use a national company to do all of the supply, template and fitting. We use them because of their reliability, quality and speedy turnaround. We have these on display in our showroom.
For our Corian worksurfaces, we use a local South West company who have been established for over 30 years and offer a superb service. This product can be seen on display in our showroom.
For our laminate worktops, we use our German manufacturer who is able to fabricate special sizes and designs to order, which we have on display in our showroom. We also use a local company for our British designed kitchens that are reliable and have a good reputation in the market.
We require 50% of the goods value as a deposit to place the order and the remaining balance for the goods only one week before the agreed installation date. The installation costs will then be made in either stage payments or on completion of the project.
