Well, hot water on demand is a huge trend for home improvements this year, with it being a more energy-efficient solution for your kitchen space. Offering 100 degree boiling water instantly, the tap has been awarded the Energy label A and is much more sustainable option to consider for your kitchen. Despite the technology being at a higher price, homeowners are realising the value and outweighing benefits in comparison to a normal tap.
Two Tone Kitchens
Two tone kitchen cabinets have become extremely popular, this simple design trend allows you to easily create a statement kitchen. The two-tone cabinetry can create a contrast by moving away from the traditional idea that kitchens should be designed in one colour. Mixing and pairing colours and textures together enable you to transform your space, adding visual interest and creating an illusion of different zones of space. Our recommendation is to pick a darker colour for the base units, then mix in with a lighter colour to accent your kitchen space.
Pops of Colour
Adding a pop of colour can bring some character and personality into your kitchen space, whether you are adding colourful kitchenware, a backsplash, wallpaper or cabinetry. Colour is also a great way of including your individual style, however it can be quite a challenging process to pick when there are so many options to experiment with. Of course, the colour you choose will need to be something that keeps you feeling happy for a long duration of time as after all, your kitchen is often referred to as the heart of the home. Dark green and blue hues have been popular recently and we can only predict this will continue in 2021.

A key trend that has followed us into the new year is maximising your storage space. After all, kitchen storage is essential; it’s where aesthetics meets practicality. We have seen a huge rise in demand for kitchen pantries and larders as they are not only beautiful to look at, but also extremely functional. We have all seen the photos on Pinterest of the perfectly organised pantry or larder, with labelled clear storage containers which means every item is easy to find when you need it! We think that this trend is going to be with us for a while…
Building up the Textures
Our final trend of this year must be building up the textures in your kitchen space. From marble quartz worktops to lacquered laminate super-matt cabinetry, there are a huge array of textures that will enable you to achieve your dream kitchen! We are noticing that textured worktops are becoming increasingly admired, especially incorporating natural materials which instantly adds depth to any space. If you are wanting to create an industrial look, natural exposed brickwork, wooden beams and steel finish surfaces are always popular choices!
